如何订购 KIGLAND 产品 / How to Order

How to Order

KIGLAND offers two types of ordering: standard models and custom builds. Which one you choose depends on whether you already have a specific character in mind, whether you like one of our existing designs, and your budget and requirements.

1. If we already made the character you love

If you have a favorite character and KIGLAND happens to have a model that matches — for example, our takes on styles inspired by characters like Hatsune Miku, Shimakaze, or similar — then Type-M is usually the best and most affordable choice.

Type-M is our standardized product line: lower price, simpler ordering, and great for first-timers. Pick an existing design, place your order, and wait for delivery.

Type-M also works well for DIY enthusiasts. After receiving the headshell, you can customize it further — swap the outfit, change accessories, re-style the wig, add small decorations, or make your own modifications. It’s an excellent entry point for anyone who wants to try Kigurumi on a budget.

2. If you want a specific character (custom)

If you have a character in mind but we don’t currently have a matching model, you’ll need to contact us for a custom consultation. Our team will evaluate based on the character’s design, production complexity, accuracy requirements, and current queue status.

To help us assess accurately, please provide clear character reference images. The ideal reference is a front-facing portrait — like a passport photo — with the face centered, features clearly visible, no hair obstructing the face, and even lighting. This helps us judge the face shape, eyes, bangs, hair color, and overall style.

Side views, turnaround sheets, expression references, concept art, or any other reference material you like are also welcome. The more complete your materials, the more accurate our evaluation. Original characters, fan designs, game characters, and anime characters are all acceptable — final acceptance depends on our team’s assessment.

3. What does the ordering process look like?

The following is a general reference. Actual steps may vary depending on product type and specific arrangements.

  1. Consultation & submit materials Contact KIGLAND customer service. Let us know if you want a Type-M standard model or a custom build. For customs, include your character references and key requirements.

  2. Evaluation & quote We’ll assess complexity, scope, materials, and our current production queue, then provide a preliminary quote and estimated timeline. Complex characters may require additional discussion.

  3. Complete measurements If your product involves a zentai bodysuit or requires body-matched sizing, we’ll provide measurement guidance. Follow the instructions carefully — your measurements directly affect the final fit.

  4. Place deposit Once the quote, direction, and measurements are confirmed, place your deposit as instructed. For custom orders, deposits are generally non-refundable once production begins. Confirm your requirements, price, and timeline before paying.

  5. Design phase begins After we confirm receipt of your deposit, design and production preparation starts. Depending on the product type, this may include 3D modeling, structural planning, hair breakdown, or color scheme confirmation.

  6. Review 3D design During the design phase, we’ll share 3D design drafts or progress renders for your review — face shape, proportions, hair structure, and other key elements. Check carefully and let us know if anything needs adjustment.

  7. Confirm hair color & details Before or during production, we’ll confirm hair color, overall tones, and certain appearance details. Actual colors may differ slightly from screen previews due to display, material, and lighting variations.

  8. Wait for production preview When the product is complete or near completion, we’ll share production preview images for your approval. Confirmation checkpoints vary by product type.

  9. Final delivery Once everything is confirmed and payment is settled, we’ll ship your product. Upon receiving it, check the packaging, labels, headshell, and accessories for completeness and any issues.

4. A few things to know before ordering

Custom kigurumi products aren’t like buying something off the shelf. They involve character interpretation, 3D design, material fabrication, handcraft work, and assembly. For the smoothest experience, prepare clear reference images beforehand and think about what matters most to you — the eyes, the face shape, the hair color, the overall cuteness, accuracy, or general vibe.

If you’re unsure whether Type-M, Type-C, or Type-G is right for you, reach out to us. We’ll help you figure out the best fit based on your budget, character needs, and how you plan to use the headshell.
